People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) experience loneliness at significantly higher rates than neurotypicals due to social stigma, exclusion, and limited opportunities for meaningful relationships. Barriers such as communication difficulties, lack of community support, and societal misconceptions often leave people with I/DD isolated, despite their desire for connection. At
