performing arts center

People’s Arc of Suffolk is proud to add The Northport Performing Arts Center at 51 Scudder Ave, Northport, NY, to our community which already includes our Bohemia and Westhampton Beach Community Centers. Our vision has always been to create an equitable and integrated community for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. A key component to this programming is our Program Without Walls (PWW). Using performing arts disciplines (music, theater, dance, digital arts), community teaching artists, clinicians, and direct support professionals will work collaboratively to guide people in exploring what matters most to them. This PWW program will also provide a wide range of innovative services aimed at enhancing creative expression and fostering community engagement. The dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at the Northport site encourage and foster meaningful relationships within the Northport community daily.

The addition of the Performing Arts Center has allowed us to expand our vision and provide dynamic, innovative and integrated services to the people we support. The innovative services offered here aim to integrate arts into the lives of peoples with disabilities, promoting inclusion and self-expression.
