We’re Making Headlines — And Making Golf More Inclusive!
We’re proud to share that our Adaptive Golf Clinic was featured in Newsday! Held at the Bohemia location of People’s Arc of Suffolk, this clinic is more than just about golf, it’s about empowerment, inclusion, and fun. 📸 Read the full story here: Newsday Coverage
Each week, people supported by our organization gather to learn the fundamentals of the game, develop new skills, and build friendships in an environment that celebrates ability over limitations. Thanks to our partnership with the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA), this initiative is fostering confidence, coordination, and community.
As Michael Kelly told Newsday:
“I love to go to the program. My dream is to play golf professionally one day.”
That’s why we’re especially excited to continue offering Saturday Adaptive Golf Clinics, open to people with developmental disabilities who want to give golf a try. These clinics are a chance to build skills, stay active, and have fun — all in a supportive environment.⛳ Register for an upcoming Saturday clinic: Call Steve Gagas at 631-572-4207 or Email Sgagas@suffahrc.org
